Decklife™ Care
Decklife bamboo composite decking doesn’t require the regular oiling that traditional timber decking does however it does need to be kept clean in order to keep the surface from degrading.
- Oil or grease from a BBQ or shoes may stain Decklife™. To prevent exposure to grease or oil from a BBQ, place a rubber mat under BBQ. Use a water based degreaser to remove oil based stains.
- Decklife™ has anti-fungal properties but it is possible that fungus or algae may grow on your deck if leaves or dirt pile up. Sweep and or pressure wash your deck to avoid this. Avoid getting fertilizers from your lawn and garden on your deck. Clean leaves out of the gutters and make sure that water cannot pool on your deck.
- Avoid scratches and scuff marks on your deck by using felt pads on the bottom of your outdoor furniture. Midrange sandpaper can be used to remove scratches and marks.
- Avoid dirt and grime build up by using warm diluted sugar soap with a hard brush to clean the deck really well, remember to ensure the gaps between decking boards are kept clean.
